Have I done it yet?

This application doesn’t use alarms, calendars, schedules, export/share, etc. It’s lightweight and doesn’t store much data beyond 3 tabs.

Scott Smith of the Daily Boost podcast talks about using Have I Done It? lists to manage small tasks that tend to slip into the back of our minds. Small tasks can add up to big consequences if we don’t get to them quick enough.

Set reminders for “easy” tasks that could turn into big hinderances if ignored long enough.

Less is more with this minimalist productivity app concept.

Today is your deadline.

My favorite feature of the app are deadlines. When the day is over all incomplete tasks move into the Yesterday tab. If Yesterday tasks aren’t complete by Tomorrow they are erased forever. This is a Ulysses Contract devised to ensure task execution.

This product is designed with “micro-productivity” in mind, meaning small steps equate to tremendous progress over time. Another concept that helped aid the conception of this app is a book called Habit Stacking by S.J. Scott

Thanks for viewing this brief case study. Hopefully you’re inspired to tackle small tasks from a new perspective. Please reach out with questions and comments. Cheers.
